Another spin-off to the wildly popular film "The Lego Movie" is developed by Warner Bros. The Hollywood Reporter learns that Jason Segel and Drew Pearce are booked to write and direct the project titled "The Billion Brick Race".

Based on an original idea by Pearce, the movie is still in early development. The plotline is still kept under wraps, but the creative minds behind the original "Lego Movie" like Phil Lord, Chris Miller, Dan Lin, and Roy Lee are on board as producers.

Segel has branched out into writing movies like "The Five-Year Engagement" and "Sex Tape", while Pearce directed Marvel One-Shot "All Hail the King". However, the "Billion Brick Race" is expected to become a big-screen directorial debut for both.

WB hasn't announced release date for the film, but has mapped out the other three "Lego" movies. Charlie Bean's "Ninjago is set in 2016, Chris McKay's "The Lego Batman Movie" is set in 2017, and Rob Schrab's "The Lego Movie Sequel" is set in 2018.
