'Man at Arms' will follow an older Sir Lancelot who seeks to make amends after his love for Guinevere destroyed Camelot.

AceShowbiz - Jonathan Liebesman ("Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles", "Wrath of the Titans") is tapped to direct a new adaptation of King Arthur for Thunder Road Pictures. Dubbed "Man at Arms", it revolves around an older Sir Lancelot who seeks to make amends after his love for Guinevere destroyed Camelot.

A rival movie "Knights of the Roundtable: King Arthur" is already in production at Warner Bros. with Guy Ritchie at the helm. It's set for July 22, 2016 release with Charlie Hunnam, Eric Bana, Jude law, and Djimon Hounsou among the cast. It follows a streetwise young Arthur before he sits on the throne.

"Man at Arms" is scripted by Jeremy Lott who sold a pitch for shared universe Robin Hood franchise to Sony. Meanwhile, "Knights of the Roundtable" is penned by Joby Harold who writes a competing Robin Hood project that focuses on the Prince of Thieves' origin story at Lionsgate.
