Mac Miller is the latest act to have been accused of copyright infringement. According to TMZ, the rapper is now sued over an uncleared sample on a song off his 2014 mixtape "Faces" that he released for free.

The accuser is a '70s funk band called Aquarian Dream. The group's Jacques Burvick filed a lawsuit against Miller on Wednesday, March 18 in U.S. District Court for the Central District of California, claiming the MC used their 1978 song "Yesterday (Was So Nice Today)" without permission on his own track "Therapy".

According to Burvick, Miller knew he stole the Aquarian Dream song. Before using it on his own record, the 23-year-old star contacted the band to ask for clearance. He used it anyway even though he didn't hear back from them.

Burvick is seeking $150,000 from Miller in damages. He says the song has been downloaded more than 700,000 times on the Pittsburgh native's website OldJewish.com.
