The 'Rebel Heart' songstress takes to Instagram to speak out against the famous designers, posting a Dolce and Gabbana campaign photo of her and a baby sitting atop her.

AceShowbiz - Madonna has sided with Elton John against designers Domenico Dolce and Stefano Gabbana over their controversial IVF comments. The 56-year-old actress took to Instagram on Wednesday, March 18 to post a Dolce & Gabbana 2010 campaign photo which showed her and a baby sitting atop her.

Madonna wrote alongside the black-and-white photo, "All babies contain a soul however they come to this earth and their families. There is nothing synthetic about a soul!! So how can we dismiss IVF and surrogacy? Every soul comes to us to teach us a lesson. God has his hand in everything even technology! We are arrogant to think Man does anything on his own. As above so below! Think before you speak.,,,,,,,,,,, #livingforlove."

Earlier in the day, Dolce and Gabbana addressed their controversy in an interview with CNN. Dolce said, "I support all the world." Gabbana chimed in, "Maybe chose the wrong words. I think in a different way from Domenico, I believe in in vitro for example." When asked if he didn't support IVF, Dolce said, "I think today we don't need to support or don't support, you think what you think." Gabbana added, "It's not support, I think, it's just to believe."

As their IVF comments were seen as an attack on same-sex families, Gabbana said, "We love gay couples, we love a gay adoption. We love everything. Domenico has just expressed a point of view." Dolce said that he was not boycotting John, "I love the music of Elton John." Dolce explained that his point of view on IVF was based on his sense of a traditional Sicilian family. "I believe in the traditional family. It is impossible to change my culture for something different. It's me... I respect all the world, all the culture."

He added, "Every people (has) freedom for choosing what they want. This for me is democracy. I respect you because you choose what you want. I respect me because I choose what I want... This just my point of private view." Gabbana said of John's boycott, "Boycott Dolce & Gabbana for what? They don't think like you? This is correct? This is not correct. We are in 2015. This is like medieval. It's not correct."
