The vocalist ended up hitting a female fan standing in the front row after her expressed his frustration over a technical malfunction at Toronto's Air Canada Centre by smashing his mic onstage.

AceShowbiz - Maroon 5 suffered a technical malfunction while they were performing at the Air Canada Centre in Toronto, Canada earlier this week. The band's vocalist Adam Levine was understandably upset with it and he expressed his frustration by smashing the microphone on his hand to the ground.

However, the mic accidentally ended up hitting a female fan in the audience. In a video taken by a concertgoer and obtained by TMZ, some ladies in the crowd could be heard shrieking as the mic landed on the face of the girl named Stephanie Green who stood in the front row.

Levine immediately rushed to check on Green, who fortunately didn't get serious injury, and apologized by taking her onto the stage.

The vocalist later voiced his disappointment over the technical mishap. "Not one time in the history of our band's career - that I can barely believe exists - not one time has the P.A. failed. Not one time until tonight," he told the crowd. "In my flustered state, I might have thrown my microphone on the ground and then it might have bounced off of the ground, into poor, sweet Stephanie's face. I felt so utterly terribly that I had perhaps wounded this young fan."

Despite the pain, Green admitted that she was lucky she got hit with the mic. In an interview with local news station City News, she said, "It's just literally the best day. My dream come true. I never thought in a million years this would happen to me. I was on stage, back and forth, freaking out. [He] hugged me, grabbed my face, held my hands!"
