Peter Facinelli and Jaimie Alexander are engaged to be married. The actor proposed to his actress girlfriend at the top of the Empire State Building in N.Y.C. on Monday, March 16.
Representatives for both stars have confirmed their engagement to PEOPLE, but provided no further details on the proposal. Neither Peter nor Jaimie has addressed the engagement report, but the 31-year-old actress tweeted on Monday, "Top of the world with my love @peterfacinelli @empirestatebldg #Love #ES," with a link to a WhoSay picture showing her and Peter kissing.

Jaimie also posted the same picture on her Instagram. "Top of the world with my love @peterfacinelli @empirestatebldg #Love #ES," so she captioned the shot.
Peter Facinelli and Jaimie Alexander were co-stars on Showtime's hit show "Nurse Jackie". They were first romantically linked in 2012 and have since often made public appearance together as a couple. Peter was previously married to actress Jennie Garth, with whom he has three daughters together.
