With the title, Syfy wants the third 'Sharknado' movie 'to boldly go where no shark movie has gone before.'

AceShowbiz - The third installment of Syfy's "Sharknado" franchise gets an offcial title and release date. The satirical disaster TV movie will be called "Sharknado 3: Oh Hell No!". The two-hour telepic is set to air on Wednesday, July 22, at 9 P.M.

"We wanted this third title to boldly go where no shark movie has gone before. 'Sharknado 3: Oh Hell No!' embraces the larger-than-life irreverence that has made these movies so popular and entertaining," said Chris Regina, Syfy senior VP of program strategy.

Anthony C. Ferrante will return as director with the script by original writer Thunder Levin. Ian Ziering and Tara Reid are also back as Fin and April who will save the day when the sharks wreak havoc in Washington, D.C., before heading down the Eastern Seaboard.

It's supported by David Hasselhoff as Fin's father Gilbert, Bo Derek as April's mother, Jerry Springer as a manic tourist, NSYNC's Chris Kirkpatrick as a pool lifeguard, Chris Jericho as a roller-coaster ride operator, Mark Cuban as POTUS, and Ann Coulter as VP. Former Rep Michele Bachmann also makes a cameo as herself.

The production, however, was marred by a protest that started on March 3. Non-union crew members seeking an IATSE contract went on strike.
