The singer/actress/designer also hints that her children may be featured on her new album.

AceShowbiz - Jessica Simpson is going to return to the music industry. The singer/actress/designer, who's been speding the past few years focusing on her clothing line, revealed she's working on a new album during an interview with Extra TV.
"Right now, I'm starting a record, and I'm getting into a lot of other fun things," she said when attending the Teen Vogue Fashion University recently. She, however, wouldn't be giving up her career in fashion for music.
"Fashion will always been part of who I am. It literally... if I'm not wearing a good outfit, I can't sing a good song," she explained and hinted that her kids, 2-year-old Maxwell and 9-month-old Ace, might be making appearances on her new record.
"I have a recording studio in my house so I can be around my babies as well and they might try and sing over me, they won't be my background vocalists, they'll be like 'AHHH,' they'll be upfront and personal," she added.
Simpson put out her latest album "Do You Know" in 2008. It marks her first foray into country music. It's still unknown if her new project will still be country or not.
