Eva Mendes has become the latest A-list celebrity who joins Instagram. The actress and mother of one officially joined the popular social media on Thursday, March 12.

She posted a picture of herself as a kid. "Taking to Instagram to keep you posted on my clothing line for @nyandcompany and CIRCA Beauty (@realcircabeauty), a cosmetics line I have coming out at Walgreens. I thought this picture might be a good way to start. 38 years later and still holding strong on the head wrap comeback. x," so read a caption that accompanied the throwback pic.

Mendes gave birth to daughter Esmeralda Amada, her daughter with longtime boyfriend Ryan Gosling, in September 2014. In a recent interview with Women's Health magazine, she opened up about her experience as a first-time mom. "I'm actually enjoying the sleepless nights because it's bonding with my little girl," so she admitted.

In further interview with the magazine, Mendes admitted that she didn't feel to have the rights of giving motherly advice to anyone. "I don't feel like I've really earned the right [to give motherly advice]," she confessed. "I want to respect all the moms out there. They're going to be like, 'You know what? You're a few months in. Just shut up.' "
