AceShowbiz - Johnny Depp has left Australia after it was reported that he injured his hand over the weekend. The actor departed from Brisbane using a private jet on Wednesday, March 11, sporting a taped up hand which was an evidence of the injury.

As seen in pictures obtained by Just Jared, the 51-year-old was in great spirit despite the injury as he was all smiles and waving to photographers with his healthy hand when he ascended the stairs. His injured hand, meanwhile, was taped up and pressed against his chest.

The "Alice in Wonderland" star injured his hand while in Australia for the filming of "Pirates of the Caribbean: Dead Men Tell No Tales". He, however, was not on set or working when he hurt himself.

He had to leave the country and returned to the U.S. to have a surgery. Though so, production on the movie is expected to be "minimally impacted" as a spokesperson for Disney said the movie is still on track for a July 7, 2017 release.

Depp will reprise his role as Captain Jack Sparrow in the fifth "Pirates of the Caribbean" movie, which also has Geoffrey Rush, Javier Bardem, Kevin McNally, Stephen Graham, Kaya Scodelario, Brenton Thwaites and Golshifteh Farahani on board as cast members. Espen Sandberg and Joachim Ronning are tapped as directors.
