John Russo, the photographer who took the 'unretouched' photo of Cindy, claims the original photo was stolen and was then photoshopped to make her midsection look larger.

AceShowbiz - Cindy Crawford threatens to take legal action against a person who posted her "unretouched" photo from Marie Claire magazine's spread which showed her different figure including wrinkles, sun damage and extra-weight in her mid-section. The photo went viral on the internet back in February.
John Russo, the photographer who took the photo, claims the original photo was stolen from him and was then doctored to make Cindy's midsection look larger. In a legal letter filed by his lawyer, obtained by TMZ, John threatens everyone who published the picture with a lawsuit if they didn't remove the picture and issue an apology.
John says the publication of the photo was "unlawful and unauthorized," slamming The Telegraph and The Sunday Telegraph for publishing it along with headlines "Unretouched Photos of Cindy Crawford causes a Twitter storm", "Cindy Crawford should cover up now" and "A hollow cheer for Crawford".
John's lawyer gives the sites 48 hours to remove "the offending photograph and articles" from its websites, promise not to re-publish the articles and issue "a categoric clarification and apology."
Previously, when the photo went viral on the internet, Marie Claire issued a statement that the photo was real. "An unretouched photo of Cindy Crawford has been circulating on Twitter this morning, revealing a body that defies expectations-it is real, it is honest, and it is gorgeous," the magazine stated. "No matter where the photo came from, it's an enlightenment-we've always known Crawford was beautiful, but seeing her like this only makes us love her more."
Cindy has not commented on the issue yet, but her husband Rande Gerber seemingly responded to the photo by posting a flawless bikini photo of her on Valentine's Day. "She got flowers and I got her. Happy Valentines Day @cindycrawford," Rande captioned it.
