Actor-comedian Damon Wayans has been forced to cancel a number of his scheduled standup shows due to his diabetes complication. TMZ which was first to report the matter mentioned that he was initially slated to perform in Missouri on Saturday, February 21, but was unable to fly "because of his ongoing battle with Type 2 diabetes", with which he was first diagnosed back in 2013.

Wayans was also due to perform at the Kansas City Improv Theater on Tuesday, February 24, but couldn't make it. Sources confirmed to TMZ that "there are going to be more cancellations down the road" in addition to the six shows in Buffalo for next month that have previously been canceled by the star.

"Damon will attempt to do shows if they're close enough for him to drive from L.A. - but until his health improves all out-of-state gigs are on hold," TMZ reported further. Wayans himself has not yet addressed the matter and there's still no official statement on what is really going on with his diabetes.
