Lil Wayne has opened up about his ongoing war with Cash Money. In a new interview with Rolling Stone, the MC talks about his current relationship with the label's boss Birdman and the status of his delayed album "Tha Carter V" as well as his newest project "The Free Weezy Album".

Wayne was signed to Cash Money when he was 12 and he considered Birdman as a father figure for years. Their relationship, however, broke down when Tunechi found out last December that he couldn't put out his "Tha Carter V" as planned. He now tells Rolling Stone that he and Birdman don't even speak to each other.

"I have no words," he says. "I'm super-numb to it, to tell you the truth."

Wayne then confirms the status of "C5", saying it's "super-done." He explains, "Cake baked, icing on top, name on top, candles lit. I would have released it yesterday if I could. But it's a dead subject right now. It's a jewel in the safe. It's that stash-house money."

Of "The Free Weezy Album", he says it is planned for release sometime in March. "I'm working on it every day, man. I guarantee it's going to be something dope," he promises. "If you don't want a musician being creative, don't get the 'Free Weezy Album'."

The "Krazy" rapper, who previously said that "Tha Carter V" would be his last solo project, also discusses the retirement plan in the interview. "I've thought about it. But for a person like me that bleeds, eats, sleeps, and s**ts music, it's hard to do," he admits.
