AceShowbiz - Retired American soccer star Landon Donovan has confirmed his engagement to girlfriend Hannah Bartell. He posted the announcement on his Facebook on Tuesday, February 10 and accompanied it with several photos of him and Hannah together.
"I recently got engaged to the love of my life, Hannah. I have never been this happy and I'm excited for our future together," so he wrote at the end of his post. "Thanks again for all the love and have a great week! Graciously, Landon."
At the beginning of his post, Landon gushed about life after retiring from professional soccer August last year. He wrote, "Good morning! I want to thank you all for your continued support as I've transitioned into a new chapter of my life. I've received many beautiful/powerful messages and gifts and I'm so incredibly grateful." He went on revealing, "Retirement has been everything I could have hoped for. I've enjoyed trips to Peru and Ecuador to visit orphanages, Bandon Dunes Golf Course in Oregon, India and the Maldives. There are many more trips to come and I can't wait! I've also had more time with my family and close friends over the last 2 months than I had in the previous 16 years combined."
Landon added, "I'm in the process of enrolling in college and have started many other exciting ventures that I've always been passionate about. There are many more intriguing things on the horizon and I'll keep you updated as they arise."
