Val Kilmer has been released from hospital following a health scare in late January. The "Kiss Kiss, Bang Bang" actor took to Twitter on Sunday evening, February 8 to share a selfie taken on his way home from hospital on Friday.

Val looked healthy in the photo as he smiled widely at the camera. He wore a grey Nike hoodie and his neck was covered amid rumors that he underwent a surgery for a throat tumor. The "Wonderland" actor captioned the snap, "This was taken last Friday when I was released from the hospital and on my way home. FREEDOM!!!!"

Val was rushed to UCLA Medical Center in Santa Monica after he allegedly began bleeding from the throat. According to TMZ, it was due to a throat tumor. However, the 55-year-old actor later denied having "a tumor, or a tumor operations, or any operation" but "a complication where the best way to receive care was to stay under the watchful eye of the UCLA ICU."

Recently, TMZ reported that Val's family believed he neglected the tumor because of his Christian Science beliefs, adding that the actor already knew about his condition since last summer. It wasn't until Monday, January 26 that he went to seek treatment after he began coughing blood.
