O'Donnell says her fellow 'The View' co-hosts have been very supportive and understandable about her health concern that prompts her leave.

AceShowbiz - Days after her exit from "The View" was confirmed, Rosie O'Donnell has spoken out about the real reason of her leave, citing health concern as the main cause. In an interview with The Hollywood Reporter at the Athena Film Festival in New York on Saturday, February 7, she revealed, "[My health] got a little bit worse right before the holidays - [my doctor] was kind of concerned. I can't really fix [my personal life] right away, but I can fix [my job]. So I spoke to them at ABC, and I told them, and they understood. They've been unbelievably supportive and loving."

The 52-year-old actress and TV personality, moreover, stated that she had also spoken to fellow co-hosts Whoopi Goldberg, Rosie Perez, and Nicole Wallace since news of her departure broke out. "Everyone cares about each other - nobody wants to do anything that's going to affect someone's health, so they get it. It's OK," so she claimed. "Not everything works out as you planned, but you never know what's going to happen tomorrow."

O'Donnell went on sharing, "I've had a lot going on in my personal life that's been very stressful. I have five kids, four of them teenagers, that's a lot of my attention." She added, "You know, Michelle (Rounds) and I are going through some hard stuff, and I can't really fix those things right away, but I can fix this."

On her separation from Rounds, to whom she's been married since June 2012, O'Donnell explained, "All you have to do is go on Instagram. You can see she's not in the house with me. It's been since Thanksgiving. People are not idiots. I don't want to lie in front of people. And I also needed some time, both of us, to figure it out. We're separated; we're not living together, and, like most married couples I know, we're trying to figure it out. And I love her very much and she loves me."

Rosie O'Donnell dropped two bombshells over the weekend. First was her departure from the daily show "The View" and the second was her separation from Michelle Rounds. Back in 2012, she suffered a near fatal heart attack and had since become more concerned about her health.
