"American Sniper" has once again ruled the weekend box office. The drama depicting the most lethal sniper in the U.S. military history topped the box office for third straight week after collecting an estimated $31.9 million domestically. With the achievement, the Clint Eastwood-directed movie *breaks a Super Bowl weekend record which previously was held by 2008's "Hannah Montana/Miley Cyrus: Best of Both Worlds Concert Tour" with $31.1 million.

Far behind "Sniper" is "Paddington". The family-friendly flick adapted from popular children books climbs to second place from its previous third spot after collecting an estimated $8.5 million.

The third and fourth spots, meanwhile, are taken by newcomers "Project Almanac" and "Black or White" respectively. "Almanac", a sci-fi movie which stars Jonny Weston and Sofia Black D'Elia among others, receives an estimated $8.5 million. The Kevin Costner, Octavia Spencer and Anthony Mackie-starring "Black or White" debuted at the fourth place with approximately $6.5 million. Rounding out the top five is Universal's "The Boy Next Door" with an estimated $6.1M.

Slipping to the sixth position from last week's fourth spot is "The Wedding Ringer". The comedy starring Josh Gad and Kevin Hart collected an estimated $5.7M in its third week. "The Imitation Game", which previously was on the sixth spot, falls to the seventh place with an estimated $5.2M.

"Tak3n" plunges to the eighth spot this week after bagging $3.6M. Last week, the Liam Neeson-starring action flick was placed fifth. The ninth position is taken by "Strange Magic". Shifting from the seventh spot, the animated flick collected an estimated $3.4M in its second week. Another newcomer, thriller "The Loft" starring Wentworth Miller, Karl Urban and James Marsden, rounds out the top ten with an estimated $2.9M.
