AceShowbiz - Things get steamy between James Franco and Zachary Quinto in the new stills from "I Am Michael", which premieres at the 2015 Sundance Film Festival. In a newly-released photo, the pair are joined by Charlie Carver in a scene. The trio are seen ditching their shirts and only have their pants on. Franco stands behind Carver, who is passionately making out with Quinto, and puts his hands on his shoulders, while Carver's hands are on Franco's hips.
Earlier this week, Franco also shared a photo from the gay-themed movie which sees him sharing a kiss with Quinto. "#iammichael, directed by the great #justinkelley, starring me and the legendary, @zacharyquinto, PREMIERES AT SUNDANCE," he captioned it.
"I Am Michael" tells the story of a real-life anti-gay pastor named Michael Glatze who was once gay himself. Franco plays Glatze, while Quinto portrays his former lover Bennett. Directed by Justin Kelly, it also stars Emma Roberts, Daryl Hannah and Leven Rambin.
"I like what the character that I play represents in the film, which is integrity and groundedness and authenticity and acceptance of who he is," Quinto said of playing his character in an interview with Salt Lake Tribune. "And those are all qualities that I strive for in my own life, so I thought that those parallels were apt. I really liked the script. I really liked the director."
The 2015 Sundance Film Festival opened on Thursday, January 22 and runs through February 1 in Utah. On Friday night, Franco shared a photo of him posing with Brad Pitt and director Rupert Goold at the festival, writing, "Just chillin with these dudes at SUNDANCE. #rupertgoold #bradpitt."
