"Broad City" is guaranteed a return for another season. As it's about to kick off its sophomore run Wednesday night, January 14 on Comedy Central, the show about two best friends navigating their early 20s in New York is picked up for a third season by the network.
The comedy series is created by and stars Abbi Jacobson and Ilana Glazer. It has done quite well on Comedy Central, giving female talents an opportunity to have a bigger presence on the network as it became the top-rank show on cable in its time slot among male audience between the age of 18 and 34 during its first season.
"It has just been brought to my attention that Broad City is a female-centric show, but we're going to do more anyway," Kent Alterman, Comedy Central's content development president, joked in a statement.
