The HLN host opposes the idea of having marijuana legalized in all states and tries to make the rapper see things her way by showing footage of children being put in danger thanks to their reckless parents.

AceShowbiz - Nancy Grace got into a heated debate with 2 Chainz during a recent episode of her HLN show. The 55-year-old conservative host and the 37-year-old rapper were arguing about the legalization of marijuana with the latter in favor of weed becoming legal in all 50 states.

"You're a star, so many people, so many teens, so many young adults, look up to you," Grace said to the lyricist after showing a story about a little girl who died in a fire while her parents were intoxicated from smoking and drinking. "Can I ask you, when you hear about cases like this, why do you still support the legalization of marijuana?"

"They had alcohol included, which we all know causes you to black out, forget things, and have memory loss," 2 Chainz argued. "They also [were] irresponsible people. I don't think that you could put an umbrella on the whole community off these few incidents that you just named... the smokers, the stoners community... You can't use these particular stories to define everybody that has recreational use."

She also showed footage of a woman forcing her child to use marijuana. "Watch this. I want you to watch it. Look at this baby," she said, to which he responded, "I feel like she was a bonehead. That was an imbecile move. Anybody that loves their kids definitely knows not to put them in harm's way and that is what she did. So I don't agree with that at all. I mean, she may have mental issues. It might be something deeper than a joint."

The host repeatedly cited a few incidents of reckless parents endangering their children due to weed. "It's the same thing we talked about earlier, darling, with the legalization of alcohol," the rapper said. "You will find some footage like this, but everybody is not doing this. Some people actually love their child. Some people know that it's obviously wrong, so this is nothing to really argue about; these people are obviously imbeciles. You can't use this case to define an entire community."

During the debate, 2 Chainz shared his own experience of getting arrested for a trace amount of marijuana in his tour bus. "For me, I'm a taxpayer. My bus get pulled over, and they say they smell weed like they do all the time. They find a grinder on my bus that has .01 of residue inside of it. OK? They lock me up, they strip me, then they find out I'm a rapper and they wanna know how fine is Nicki Minaj. They wanna take pictures, and they wanna let me go."

"They obviously charge me with .01, I go to court, I go to trial and then they say do you pack your own bags, is this your grinder? I tell them no. well they find out my security does it, they drop my case and then they pick it up on my security who obviously beats the case. If that's not a waste of taxpayers' time and money, I don't know what it is."

"We're in a deficit. We've got to find ways of getting out," he also said. "If we got half of the states legalizing pot, if the rest of the community legalizes pot that frees up taxpayers money, that'll allow us to do something with this extra with these funds from fixing potholes in the street to building stadiums. I'm down with it."

When they were not sparring over pot, Grace tried to attack 2 Chainz over his lyrics. "Some of your lyrics are so incredible, but then other of your lyrics advocate a different kind of lifestyle that I don't think you would want little children exposed to," she said. "I mean, do you have children?"

"I have two beautiful little girls and I'm a great father," he hotly defended himself. "Everybody should basically take care of their own. You have kids too, as well, right? It's about governing your own household. It's about taking care of your own property. It's about having some kind of structure in anything."

Despite the heated argument, 2 Chainz didn't seem to have hard feelings toward Grace. "Hey @NancyGraceHLN thanks for having me today!! We should make this a monthly thing what ya think?" he tweeted afterwards. She replied, "@2chainz you're on. I'm gonna talk u out of this pot thing. Ps. I don't think that's a real rolex u have on. #Pot2Blame?" He continued to keep it cool despite her effort to provoke him by dissing his accessory, "We still cool! That was a great debate thanks Nancy...bill o Reilly U up next!" Check out the clips below. What do you think of their debate?"
