Ryan Reynolds murders some people for his pet in the first trailer from "The Voices". Arriving online on Thursday, January 8, the trailer shows Reynolds, who hears his pets' voices, killing some girls following the orders from his cat. "Sometimes I talk to my pets, and they sometimes talk to me," he says in the video.
Reynolds' character is described as an upbeat man who is mentally ill and avoids taking his anti-psychotic medication. As the results, he hears voices from his pets. His cat tells him to be a serial killer at one point. "Kill her, and you will discover what it feels like to be truly alive," the cat says. In addition to Reynolds, the movie stars Anna Kendrick who plays his workmate.
Directed by Marjane Satrapi ("Persepolis"), the movie also stars Gemma Arterton, Jacki Weaver and Ella Smith. It is set to arrive in U.S. theaters and VOD on February 6.
