"Better Call Saul" introduces its characters in newly released cast portraits. While "Breaking Bad" fans are already familiar with Bob Odenkirk's Saul Goodman and Jonathan Banks' Mike Ehrmantraut who are also featured in some of the promos for the new show, there are pictures which give first look at some new characters.
They are Michael McKean as Chuck McGill, the brother of Saul a.k.a. Jimmy McGill, "Franklin & Bash" alum Rhea Seehorn as Kim Wexler, and "Big Love" star Patrick Fabian as Howard Hamlin. According to Yahoo! TV which obtains the images, the supporting characters "will represent both legitimate and illegitimate sides of the law."
Serving as "Breaking Bad" spin-off, "Better Call Saul" is set set six years before Saul Goodman became Walter White's lawyer. When we meet him, the man who will become Saul Goodman is known as Jimmy McGill, a small-time lawyer searching for his destiny, and, more immediately, hustling to make ends meet. The series will track Jimmy's transformation into Saul Goodman, the man who puts "criminal" in "criminal lawyer."
The new drama, which has been ordered for a second season by AMC, will launch with a two-night premiere on Sunday, February 8 at 10/9c and Monday, February 9 at 10/9c.
