Young Money's CEO Mack Maine and Weezy's longtime pal Fee Banks both mention the follow-up to 2011's 'Sorry for the Wait' mixtape in separate Instagram posts.

AceShowbiz - Fans will apparently still get new music by Lil Wayne soon although the oft-delayed "Tha Carter V" currently has no new release date. Young Money's CEO Mack Maine and Weezy's longtime pal Fee Banks have both taken to Instagram to hint that "Sorry 4 the Wait 2" mixtape is now underway.

Maine posted a photo of him standing next to a huge wall painting and wrote, "I found my bionic son today walking through Wynwood!!! #FreeC5 #PinkPrint #Sorry4daWait2 ya heard me!!" Banks, meanwhile, shared a picture of Wayne in the studio. "Sorry 4 the Wait 2," he simply captioned it and added a "soon" emoji.

Prior to mentioning the mixtape on Instagram, Maine said during an interview with Miami radio station 99 Jamz that Wayne was readying a "special project" for fans. "I can't give a definitive date. I can just say first quarter for sure. We're still in talks right now, trying to get plans together. The industry shuts down towards the end of the year anyway. It's coming out," he revealed.

If "Sorry 4 the Wait 2" is really happening, it will follow 2011's "Sorry 4 the Wait" which was released after "Tha Carter IV" got delayed numerous times.
