Rihanna held her inaugural Diamond Ball on Thursday night, December 11 at The Vineyard in Beverly Hills, California. The woman of the hour looked stunning in a rose-colored Zac Posen satin gown that she paired with a Chopard necklace. Family and friends flocked to show their support.
Kim Kardashian was among the guests. She donned a black leotard with netted dress and floor-length tuxedo jacket by Alexander Wang for Balenciaga. Other celebrities in attendance included Salma Hayek, Ellen Pompeo, Kris Jenner, Big Sean, and Tyrese Gibson.
The event is to benefit The Clara Lionel Foundation RiRi founded in 2012 to help improve the quality of life for communities globally in the areas of health, education, arts, and culture. Her grandfather Lionel Brathwaite and mother Monica Brathwaite attended the star-studded fundraiser as well. "#DiamondBall Day!!!! I'm so honored to be able to do something like this on behalf of my grandparents, Clara&Lionel, to you who are in need!" she tweeted.
The charity dinner was hosted by Jimmy Kimmel who came with his wife Molly McNearney. Brad Pitt helped introduce RiRi's live performance, while Hayek purchased a Damien Hirst artwork for $190,000. Other items at the auction included VIP tickets to an upcoming Kanye West concert which went for $74,000.
