The director, who most recently served behind the lens for 'Noah', is going to work on an adaptation from Charles Graeber's novel about a nurse who's also a serial killer.

AceShowbiz - Darren Aronofsky apparently has found a new project. According to the Tracking Board, the "Black Swan" director is attached to direct "The Good Nurse". Krysty Wilson-Cairns is adapting the Charles Graeber novel, which tells the story of a nurse who is also a serial killer, for Lionsgate.

The book focuses on a registered nurse named Charlie Cullen who was arrested in 2003 for the death of about 300 patients in the span of sixteen years in nine hospitals across New Jersey and Pennsylvania. His family, however, knows him as a loving son, husband, beloved father and best friend. The novel also sees how the detectives worked hard to put the pieces before linking them on Cullen with the help of a fellow nurse.

Aronofsky most recently directed "Noah", starring Russell Crowe, Emma Watson, Logan Lerman and Jennifer Connelly among others. The Biblical pic was nominated for Best Song award for Patti Smith's "Mercy Is" at the 2015 Golden Globe.

Aronofsky is also developing Margaret Atwood's "MaddAddam" on HBO. Earlier this year, he reportedly was circling a sci-fi flick "Moonfall".
