Amy Schumer has been announced as the host of the 2015 MTV Movie Awards. The comedian took over MTV's social media accounts on Wednesday, December 10 to share the exciting news herself. She shared a photo of her and captioned it, "I am hosting the @MTV Movie Awards!! #Cheers."

"I am honored to be hosting the awards," Schumer said of the upcoming hosting gig. "I will carry the audience with me like a teen mom #breaktheinternet #breakmywater." She now joins stars such as Conan O'Brien, Rebel Wilson and Jason Sudeikis who previously hosted the annual event.

The 2015 MTV Movie Awards will air live from the Nokia Theatre in Los Angeles April 12, 2015 at 9 P.M. ET. Nominees will be announced on later date.
