There have been rumors that "The Walking Dead" will kill off another beloved character in the midseason finale and a new interview with executive producer Gale Anne Hurd may have confirmed it. Speaking to E! News, Hurd said fans could anticipate a heartwrenching episode.

"I would say make sure that you have a seatbelt on your couch and a lot of tissues handy," she teased. "I would say it is heartbreaking. It is, I think, completely unexpected and a fantastic way to end the midseason," she described the episode titled "Coda", adding, "Kickass, but totally heartbreaking."

Hurd also talked about what's next in the remainder of season 5. "I think the goal is to continue the theme of the first season, really, which is an in-depth examination of each character in our band of survivors and where they find themselves emotionally given the acts they've had to commit to survive," she shared, promising that Michonne and some other characters who have been in the background lately would get more spotlight in the second half of the season.

The new episode of "The Walking Dead" airs Sunday, November 30 at 9 P.M. on AMC. It will feature a showdown between Rick & Co. and the hospital team led by Dawn as Rick tries to save Beth and Carol.

Robert Kirkman, the "The Walking Dead" comic books creator, said the confrontation against Dawn "is definitely going to be substantially different from the confrontation with The Governor or Gareth."
