Chris Pine shows off his singing skills in front of audience on "The Ellen DeGeneres Show". In the Wednesday, November 26 episode of the chat show, the "Star Trek: Into Darkness" star can be seen serenading a lucky fan who is among the audience members.

Prior to showcasing his singing skills, Pine told the host Ellen DeGeneres that he liked singing in the showers. DeGeneres said she never sang in the shower and preferred to sing in the car, but Pine explained he liked the acoustics, "You do sound better in the shower."

During their chat, the pair also talked about his fanbase which is named "Pine Nuts" before a lucky fan was called to the stage to join them. The fan named Eileen Lee asked if Pine could sing for her and he complied, belting out Frank Sinatra's "Summer Wind". "How lucky are you Eileen," DeGeneres said after Pine finished his performance.

During the premiere of "Horrible Bosses 2" in L.A. a few days ago, Pine told reporters that he sharpened his vocals in the shower. "I've sung in the shower for years. I thought I was my own best teacher," he said.

Pine also received training to prepare for his upcoming musical flick "Into the Woods" which hits U.S. theaters on December 25. "I went to a singing coach and worked on it," he said, calling it "incredible challenge in this past year that I had a lot of fun with."
