The rookie comedy has received a back-nine episode pick-up, bringing its first season to a full 22 episodes.

AceShowbiz - ABC has given a vote of confidence to "Cristela". The network has ordered the back-nine episodes for the new comedy, giving the freshman a full-season order. It's the second comedy to receive a full-season pick-up this fall after ABC's "Black-ish".

"Cristela" has been a consistent ratings performer, posting an average of 6 million viewers and a 1.3 rating/5 share in adults 18-49 demo on Fridays at 8:30 P.M. It debuted to a 1.3 rating among adults 18-49 and 6.6 million total viewers.

The sitcom stars Cristela Alonzo as the title character, a young Mexican-American law school graduate living in Dallas, who must balance her chance to live the American Dream by working as an unpaid intern at a law firm with the concerns of her traditional family.
