The Duggars are under fire for their alleged anti-gay stance. An online petition has been launched on Change.org urging TLC to cancel the family's reality show "19 Kids and Counting" amid claim that the family promotes "fear-mongering against gays and transgendered people."

"End LGBTQ fear mongering by the Duggars," Jim Wissick, who started the petition, wrote. "The Duggars have been using their fame to promote discrimination, hate, and fear-mongering against gays and transgendered people. You need to take a stand on the side of justice and cancel their show."

Wissick actually launched the petition months ago, but it started gaining momentum after it's reported that the Duggars banned pictures of same-sex couples kissing from their official Facebook page. One fan named John Becker says he posted a picture of him kissing his same-sex spouse, but the photo was removed from the Facebook page.

On the online petition, Wissick cited Michelle Duggar's statement in which she's "warning Fayetteville residents that transgender people are child predators and that the law will somehow protect that predatory behavior."

"Duggar words reek of ignroance and fear mongering," Wissick claimed. "Just because someone is transgendered doesn't mean they are a child predator or a rapist. The claim that this ordinance would provide predators with access to women's restrooms in order to assault or leer at girls or women is nothing more than fear-mongering and spreading ignornace and hatred."

Additionally, Wissick cited a report that the Duggars had donated $10k to repeal equal housing rights for LGBTQ members. The petition also noted that Josh Duggar is a member of Family Research Center, which Wissick described as "a hate-filled, anti-gay organization."

The petition has so far garnered 8,000 signatures. TLC has not commented on the issue.
