The last season of "The Newsroom" could be the last time viewers enjoy Aaron Sorkin's work on television. The Academy and Emmy Award-winning scribe has said that he might never write for TV again after the HBO series ends its run.

"I know the whole 'Never say never' stuff," he told Los Angeles Times. "But I'm pretty certain I'm about to write my last three episodes of television." He added, "All these months later, I still don't see another series in my near future. But, again, you never know. Maybe I'll get another idea."

Sorkin, whose TV writing credits also include "The West Wing", "Sports Night" and "Studio 60 on the Sunset Strip", thought he's not that fortunate in television, but he still enjoyed working on TV shows. "I want to be really clear about this. Really clear about this," he shared, "I've loved every minute I've spent in television. And I've had much more failure, as traditionally measured, than success in television. I've done four shows, and only one of them was the 'West Wing'."

The third and final season of "The Newsroom" kicked off Sunday, November 9. Sorkin who created the series told Zap2it, "I think this season is, in fact, the best of the three. I didn't want to come back and do the third season unless there was a good story to tell, and we were able to come up with one."

"The Newsroom", starring Jeff Daniels, airs Sundays at 9 P.M. on HBO.
