TV

Peggy Carter sends Howard Stark off before James D'Arcy's Jarvis, who is Stark's butler, introduces himself to Agent Carter.

AceShowbiz - An extended sneak peek at "Marvel's Agent Carter" was shared during ABC's special "Marvel: 75 Years, From Pulp to Pop!" on Tuesday, November 4. The two-and-a-half-minute video sees Peggy Carter sending off Howard Stark who is headed somewhere overseas.

Edwin Jarvis, who drove them to the dock, then introduces himself to Carter. He apparently had been tailing her before in an alleyway. The scene then cuts to Carter beating up a man in a kitchen.

Played by James D'Arcy, Jarvis is Stark's butler and ally to Carter who will eventually be a tutor to Tony Stark and inspire his J.A.R.V.I.S. artificial intelligence.

"Agent Carter" will debut January 2015 on ABC. Hayley Atwell reprises her "Captain America: The First Avenger" role as Peggy Carter, Dominic Cooper returns as Howard Stark, while Chad Michael Murray and Enver Gjokaj star in regular roles.

The show is set in 1946 New York. Peace has dealt Peggy Carter a serious blow as she finds herself marginalized when the men return home from fighting abroad. Working for the covert SSR (Strategic Scientific Reserve), Peggy must balance doing administrative work and going on secret missions for Howard Stark all while trying to navigate life as a single woman in America, in the wake of losing the love of her life-Steve Rogers.
