TLC has 'ended all activities around the series, effective immediately' since they thought the family matriarch was putting her children at risk for allegedly dating a sex offender.

TLC officially cancels "Here Comes Honey Boo Boo" which is entering season 5 after wrapping the last one in August. The studio decides not to air the new season although it was already filmed. The announcement is made after an alarming report that Mama June Shannon is dating a sex offender.
"TLC has canceled the series 'Here Comes Honey Boo Boo' and ended all activities around the series, effective immediately. Supporting the health and welfare of these remarkable children is our only priority. TLC is faithfully committed to the children's ongoing comfort and well-being," the studio says.
Mama June was reported having a new man after a picture showing the family matriarch getting cozy in a hotel room with a man named Mark McDaniel emerged online. The photo was reportedly taken in June, around the same time her relationship with Mike "Sugar Bear" Thompson went kaput.
McDaniel served a 10-year prison sentence for forcing an 8-year-old to perform oral sex. He was dating Honey Boo Boo's mother when committing the horrible crime. Now the two are rumored rekindling their romance after he was released from prison in March. Mama June, her daughter, and McDaniel's son have all denied the report, but it is apparently not enough to put TLC at ease.
