The screenwriter is confident that the 'Exodus: Gods and Kings' actor will 'crush' the role in the movie to be directed by Danny Boyle.

Christian Bale is officially announced to take on the lead role in a new untitled Steve Jobs biopic. The casting is confirmed by Aaron Sorkin, who writes script for the film based on the best-selling Steve Jobs biography penned by Walter Isaacson.

"We needed the best actor on the board in a certain range and that's Christian Bale," he spills to Bloomberg Television. "I couldn't be more excited." The scribe also says, "He didn't have to audition. Well, there was a meeting."

"The role is an extremely difficult role. He has more words to say in this movie than most people have in three movies combined," Sorkin explains. "There isn't a scene or a frame that he's not in. And there's a tremendous amount of language. So it's an extremely difficult part and he is gonna crush it."

Bale entered negotiations to play the late Apple co-founder after Leonardo DiCaprio left the project. Danny Boyle is set to serve behind the lens, replacing David Fincher who departed due to control issues.

The story is expected to focus on the launches of Apple's original Macintosh computer (1984), NeXT Cube (1990), and original iPod (2001). "This entire movie is going to be three scenes, and three scenes only, that all take place in real time," Sorkin once said.
