A minor incident happened when ILoveMakonnen was performing at SOBs in New York City on Tuesday night, October 21. The rapper was performing his hit single "Tuesday" when someone suddenly attacked him.
Someone else in the crowd filmed the incident and shared it on YouTube. In the clip, the unidentified man could be seen approaching the stage when Makonnen and other rappers were performing. He extended his hand to dap up the 25-year-old star. The OVO signee, who clearly didn't know the dude's real intentions, extended his hand in return.
The man then pulled Makonnen to the ground and punched him in the head. Two people jumped off the stage and tried to chase the man, but he managed to escape. Following the assault, Makonnen stood up and continued the performance like nothing had happened.
The Tuesday show at SOBs was put together by Electric Circus. It also featured performances from the likes of Rae Sremmurd, Audio Push and Father.
