The first look at Charlie Cox as the masked superhero was teased in a still and a footage played at New York Comic Con.

AceShowbiz - Netflix's panel of "Daredevil" at New York Comic Con on Saturday, October 11 revealed a lot. Beside releasing new photos of Charlie Cox as the blind lawyer moonlighting as the Marvel Comics superhero, the panel announced four new castings and unveiled footage.

In the pics, Cox was seen both in his day attire as Matt Murdock and in his costume as the crime fighter. The all-black costume seemed to be drawing inspiration from "Daredevil: Man Without Fear", a series written by Frank Miller and illustrated by John Romita Jr.

"It's been a real challenge," Cox said of his character at the panel. "There are so many aspects. There's the blindness and physicality. Making a show is about human emotion, conflict and turmoil. When meeting a man who's a lawyer by day and believes in law and justice and then a man by night is someone who takes the law into his own hands. He deals with battles dealing with that concept."

"It's a constant struggle for Matt Murdock, and oftentimes he crosses the line, and one of the questions we ask in this show is how far will he go?" showrunner Steven S. DeKnight added. "There'll be times on the show when you're not quite sure who to root for."

Cox would be backed up by a slew of newly-announced actors. Ayelet Zurer will play Vanessa Marianna, Vondie Curtis-Hall is set as Ben Urich, Bob Gunton has been cast as Leland Owlsley a.k.a. "The Owl" while Toby Leonard Moore is Wesley.

The footage played during the panel gave first looks at the major characters. It also highlighted a fight between Daredevil and an unknown villain who is after Deborah Ann Woll's Karen Page.

The series, which is shot in New York, will premiere next year for 13 episodes.
