Sharon Osbourne revealed on "The Talk" on Wednesday, September 17 that she once slit her wrist to prove her love for his now-husband, Ozzy Osbourne. Sharon said that the story was only known by Ozzy and she never told their three children.

"I've never discussed it out of embarrassment of how stupid I was at the time to do such a thing to myself," she shared, "I was 27, I was just going out with Ozzy at the time... and when we first got together, we would drink a lot together."

She continued, "We had a session of partying... and it's about 4 in the morning and he says to me, 'How much do you really love me?'... And I'm saying, 'I'd do anything for you, anything, I absolutely adore you... I'd give my life for you.' "

Sharon additionally said, "I'm like, 'I'll show you how much I love you, I'd die for you'... so I went to a room service table... and there was a steak knife. I get the knife and I'm like, 'I love you so much' and slash, slash, slash on my wrist.' "

She then showed off the scars to the audience, claiming that she cut her wrist too deep and it wouldn't stop bleeding. She recalled telling Ozzy, "Dear, I think we better call an ambulance." She added that she "got very sober, very quickly."

When the ambulance came, Sharon asked them to just put bandage on it, but they ruled the situation an attempted suicide. She was then taken to a psych ward and put on lockdown.

Sharon then told the audience, "These scars are a big embarrassment. I tell everyone I was attacked by a dog... The scars don't go away. They stay with you... It's a reminder to us all."
