Sony Pictures Television is reportedly developing a new series based on David Faustino's character on the 1980s-1990s sitcom.

AceShowbiz - The Bundys may return to the small screen more than 10 years after "Married... with Children" ended its run on FOX. According to E! News, "Sony Pictures Television is taking out a pitch for a new series based on David Faustino's character, Bud Bundy." Sony TV has not commented on the news and it's unknown which characters, if any, will return to the spin-off.

Christina Applegate, who played Kelly Bundy, recently hinted at a "Married... with Children" reunion. "We're going to do something with Dave maybe. I don't know if it will be in character," she said at Katey Sagal's Hollywood Walk of Fame ceremony on Tuesday, September 9. "But I don't really know. I don't know what that's going to be. I don't know if I'm allowed to speak on that at all. So I should probably stop talking about it right now!"

Sagal, who currently stars on "Sons of Anarchy", adds, "We've talked about it every year, but then there are so many pieces that have to be in alignment that for some reason it never happens. But we love each other. Well, we're all working now, so it's hard to find the time!"

Applegate, however, is not interested in reprising her role as Kelly, explaining, "We all kind of have other things going on. No one wants to see me in a miniskirt anymore. I'm 42 years old. I never wanted to see me in them back when I was 18. I don't know if I could go that route."

"Married... with Children" also starred Ed O'Neill who is now part of the cast of another family comedy, "Modern Family" on ABC. The Michael G. Moye and Ron Leavitt-created sitcom ran for 11 seasons from 1987 to 1997, making it the longest-lasting live-action sitcom on FOX.
