Hilary Duff finally has responded to her former boyfriend Aaron Carter's love declarations earlier this year. In an interview with Buzzfeed, the former Disney star admitted that she was aware of Carter's professions, but she apparently did not feel the same.

When the interviewer asked her feelings about Carter's undying love, the "Chasing the Sun" singer answered with a laugh, "I was not expecting this question." Duff then went on, "He does, I keep seeing that, that he keeps doing that. I don't know how I feel. I mean, that was so long ago, and obviously I'm still married, and I have a baby and we kind of just... [We] don't know each other."

Earlier this year, Carter talked about his love to Duff in some Twitter posts after she announced separation from husband Mike Comrie. "I'll spend the rest of my life trying to better myself to get back to her. I don't care what ANY of you think," he wrote. Carter later told ET, "I don't know who she is today, she doesn't know who I am today but I would sweep her off her feet if I ever got a chance to again and fix what I did wrong."

In a separate interview with KIIS 106.5's "The Kyle & Jackie O Show", the former "Lizzie McGuire" star said that she and her husband, who share a son named Luca, were working on their relationship. "We've uncoupled, for now," she said.

"I mean, if there wasn't a chance for getting back [together], I think we would've filed for divorce. We're not putting any... I talk about this so much, I really don't want to talk about it anymore," she added. "But we are like... I just talked to him this morning! We really care a lot about each other."
