The Boss Johns of 'Riddick' lands a recurring role as the leader of the League of Assassins and will first appear in the fourth episode of season 3.

AceShowbiz - Ra's al Ghul is indeed coming to Starling City with Matt Nable taking on the role on "Arrow". The "Riddick" star is cast in the pivotal role of the leader of the League of Assassins and father to Nyssa al Ghul, who has been portrayed by Katrina Law on the CW series.

Ra's al Ghul is described as "proud and unforgiving, a ruthless strategist, a master of martial arts, and a shaper of history." He carries the wisdom of the ages and protects some of its greatest secrets. He will first appear in the fourth episode of season 3.

Lead star Stephen Amell confirmed the news via Twitter. "Please welcome Matt Nable to Arrow. You know who he's playing," so he wrote on Thursday, September 4 along with a picture of the famous DC Comics villain.

Liam Neeson played Ra's al Ghul in Chris Nolan's Batman movies, "Batman Begins" and "The Dark Knight Rises". The actor recently said he would reprise the role on TV "in a heartbeat, if it came my way."

"Arrow" season 3 premieres Wednesday, October 8 at 8/7c on The CW. A new promo titled "High Speed Chase" has just landed online to tide fans over the show's return.
