"Game of Thrones" actress Emilia Clarke and "The Hunger Games: Catching Fire" actor Sam Claflin are to star opposite each other in a tear-jerker movie. Both of them are in negotiations to star in MGM and New Line's "Me Before You".

An adaptation of the bestselling Jojo Moyes novel of the same name, "Me Before You" follows Lou, a small-town girl who becomes the caretaker of a man who has spiraled into depression after being paralyzed in an accident. The two then embark on a series of adventures together that will ultimately change them both.

Clarke is to step in the role of Lou while Claflin is the man she takes care of. According to Deadline, Claflin had to beat a lot of young actors to get this lead male part. Moyes wrote the first draft of the script which will then be perfected by "500 Days of Summer" scribes Scott Neustadter and Michael H. Weber. TV series director Thea Sharrock will make her feature film directing debut.

The pic will be released in August 2015.
