The 'Wrecking Ball' singer says she still loves her former fiance nearly one year after ending their engagement.

AceShowbiz - Miley Cyrus finally opened up about Liam Hemsworth nearly one year after ending their engagement. According to Mail Online, in an interview with Australia's "Sunday Night", Miley told reporter Chris Bath, "I love Liam, Liam loves me."
Talking about her hit song "Wrecking Ball", which was believed to be inspired by her relationship with Liam, Miley said, "It's about finding yourself and sometimes you have to separate yourself from everyone. I just had to become this person who is sitting in this chair right now. If I didn't I just felt like there was something that was going to explode and I had to set myself free."
Miley and Liam started dating while filming "The Last Song" in June 2009. The couple announced their engagement in 2012 but they called it quits in September 2013. At that time, Miley's father, Billy Ray Cyrus, told Entertainment Tonight that his daughter was happy following the split. He said, "All I know for sure is I heard my daughter say today she's the happiest she's ever been in her life immediately following [the breakup.]"
"That's when I saw Miley being so happy," Billy added, "Somewhere along the stress and strain of different things I didn't see her smiling as often for a little while and all of a sudden she's like the sun, and when she smiles it's light."
