"American Horror Story: Freak Show" extends an invitation in its first teaser. The spooky video shows what looks like a creepy hand holding a ticket. "Step right up, the show is about to begin ...," so reads the caption of the video. Creator Ryan Murphy also tweeted a link to the video and wrote along with it, "Get your tickets now for the Freak Show. Coming in October."

According to the official description, " 'Freak Show' begins its tale in the quiet, sleepy hamlet of Jupiter, Florida. The year is 1952. A troupe of curiosities has just arrived to town, coinciding with the strange emergence of a dark entity that savagely threatens the lives of townsfolk and freaks alike. This is the story of the performers and their desperate journey of survival amidst the dying world of the American carny experience."

The fourth installment of the horror anthology series will premiere Wednesday, October 8 at 10 P.M. ET/PT on FX. Jessica Lange, Kathy Bates, Angela Bassett, Frances Conroy, Sarah Paulson, Emma Roberts, Gabourey Sidibe and Evan Peters are the returning stars, joined by new faces Michael Chiklis, John Carroll Lynch, Wes Bentley, Finn Wittrock and Patti LaBelle.

Back in July, Neil Patrick Harris expressed his interest to be part of the show and Murphy gave a positive response. "@ActuallyNPH of course you can be on Freak Show! I have a role I think you'd love," Murphy tweeted. It's unclear if Harris' involvement is a done deal.
