Aviva Drescher has explained why she tossed her prosthetic leg in the season 6 finale of "The Real Housewives of New York City". "There were three shrews attacking me, and I really just wanted them to zip it," she tells PEOPLE.

Comparing her dramatic act to people throwing water when they're angry, she says, "Some people throw down their glasses when they get angry and I just threw down my prosthesis. And you know what? It worked. They fled."

In another interview with Access Hollywood, Drescher says she did it because she's sick of her co-stars accusing her of lying about her asthma. "They were coming after me about the truthfulness about my asthma and they were saying that I was faking it," she shares. "I would never lie I would never fake something like that, I really had a health issue. After a while I got sick of it."

Drescher, who lost her leg at 6 years old in a conveyer belt on a farm, says she doesn't "have any regrets at all" for throwing her prosthetic leg in such manner. "I only have experiences that I've learned from. If I could do this all over again, I think I would, because these girls, they just don't listen. They didn't want to hear what I had to say," she goes on defending herself.

She, however, was worried if her prosthesis could handle being tossed through the air. "I don't know what I was more worried about, the Jimmy Choo or my leg, but it all worked out," she says, adding, "I normally only take it off when I go to bed or shower."

Drescher threw her prosthetic leg during a fight in the season finale of "RHONYC" which aired on Tuesday, July 22. When her co-stars doubted her excuse that her asthma prevented her from joining the ladies on a cowgirl jaunt earlier in the season, she yelled, "The only thing artificial or fake about me is this!" before removing her fake leg and putting it on a table.

"Everything else is real! I'm sick of being called fake!" she continued, tossing it across the room and left everyone in shock.
