According to a new report, Shepherd's estranged husband Lamar Sally is preparing legal action to prevent her from quitting a surrogate contract they signed.

Sherri Shepherd's estranged husband Lamar Sally reportedly is preparing legal documents to prevent her from backing out of their surrogate contract. According to TMZ, Sally probably will mention what he believes to be Shepherd's hypocrisy, saying that she claims to be a good Christian woman but she abandons their child.
According to a previous report, the former co-host of "The View" was backing out of their agreement because she believed that Sally wanted to use the baby to defraud her. The 47-year-old-star reportedly wanted "no parental rights or responsibilities" over the baby.
Shepherd and Sally got married in August 2011. Sally filed for legal separation on May 2. In the documents, he asked for legal and physical custody of the child who will be born on July 28. He also wanted spousal support and Shepherd to pay attorney fees.
A week later, Shepherd filed her own divorce paper in New Jersey, citing irreconcilable differences as the reason. She reportedly did not mention the child in her filings, but she said she wanted their prenup agreement to be "enforced" while Sally wanted it to be "invalidated on grounds of fraud." According to the prenup, Sally will only receive $60,000 if the marriage lasts two to five years.
