Aside from announcing the latest casting news, producers also hint at Gorilla Grodd and Dr. Martin Stein.

Wentworth Miller joins The CW's "The Flash". The former "Prison Break" star is cast as Leonard Snart or Captain Cold. The character is one of the titular hero's enemies and a leader of the rogues who has a weapon to freeze objects.

The casting was announced at the TCA Panel in California before the superhero series is scheduled to premiere on October 7 this year. "We'll be seeing his origin and the origin of the Rogues," executive producer Greg Berlanti teased.

Main star Grant Gustin said Barry Allen's alter ego would not stay secret for long. "Anyone that's close to me that sees me in the Flash suit is going to recognize me. Which I think is kind of cool," he dished on. "Even if I'm in the mask, if they know me well enough. They know it's me."

In the pilot, there will also be a Gorilla Grodd hint. " 'Dawn of the Planet of the Apes' is out and hopefully they're doing the R&D for us so that one day we can see exactly what jumped out of that cage," joked another producer Andrew Kreisberg.

Dr. Martin Stein will also appear on the series. "I think as we evolve Firestorm, you'll definitely meet Stein," Berlanti said. "We actually had him in a version of the pilot at one point on the train with Barry when he was coming back from Starling." Firestorm is the fusion of Stein and Ronnie Raymond (Robbie Amell).
