Now that the 2014 Tony Awards is over, Hugh Jackman is free to alter his look. "The Wolverine" star shaved his head in preparation for his role in the upcoming Peter Pan movie, "Pan".

The actor shared a picture of himself on Instagram, giving the first look of him as Captain Blackbeard. He raised eyebrows when hosting the Sunday, June 8 ceremony of Tony Awards looking scruffy in the facial area. Turns out he has been keeping the mustache and beard long for the role. "Blackbeard is born," the 45-year-old actor captioned the photo.

"Pan" is a closely-guided film from Warner Bros. "Pride and Prejudice" director Joe Wright will helm the film using the script from Jason Fuchs. Levi Miller is cast in the titular role while Amanda Seyfried takes the role as Wendy Darling's mother. It also features Rooney Mara as Tiger Lily and Garrett Hedlund as Captain Hook.

The movie is set during World War II and follows an orphan who is kidnapped by pirates and brought to Neverland. It is set to open in U.S. theaters July 17, 2015.
