The very first trailer for "Hector and the Search for Happiness" has arrived online via Collider for viewing pleasure. It shows Simon Pegg playing the titular psychiatrist who searches the globe from China to Africa leaving his girlfriend to find the secret of happiness.

Hector is an eccentric yet irresistible London psychiatrist in crisis. His patients are just not getting any happier, and he's going nowhere. Then one day, armed with buckets of courage and an almost child-like curiosity, he breaks out of his sheltered vacuum of a life into a global quest to find out if happiness exists.

Rosamund Pike plays Hector's girlfriend, Christopher Plummer portrays his co-worker, and Stellan Skarsgard is cast as his traveling companion. Based on Francois Lelord's book of the same name, it is expected to open in U.K. theaters this autumn.
