A new trailer for "The Amazing Spider-Man 2" has arrived, offering lots of new footage. Among them are the comedy moment when his aunt Mary nearly discovers his alter ego and more action scenes that show the city blackout and other conflicts the wallcrawler is facing from his new enemies.

In the next film, Peter Parker continues to struggle with balancing his life as a high school student, and his responsibilities as Spider-Man. When he begins to investigate more about his father's past, thanks to the help of his friend Harry Osborn, he begins to realize that the new threats of Electro and the Rhino all have one thing in common: OsCorp.

Andrew Garfield is back as the titular friendly neighborhood hero, Emma Stone reprises her role as his love interest, and Marc Webb returns as a director. Jamie Foxx plays Electro, Paul Giamatti will portray the Rhino, and Dane DeHaan will take the part of Harry. It will be released in the U.S. on May 2, 2014.

The "Spider-Man" universe is expanding with the making of spin-offs about the superhero's nemeses. Alex Kurtzman, Roberto Orci and Ed Solomon will write the screenplay for "Venom (2017)", and Drew Goddard will pen the big-screen take on "The Sinister Six".
