Sarah Palin has landed a new TV gig. The former Alaskan Governor is set to host a weekly outdoors-oriented program titled "Amazing America With Sarah Palin" on The Sportsman Channel.

Set to debut in April 2014, the new show is described as an "anthology of stories that explore some of the most original, interesting - and sometimes inspiring - people, places and pastimes connected to America's outdoors lifestyle." The so-called "First Lady of the Outdoors" will "find the stories of people and places that share and reflect her passion for what makes America the great, amazing nation that it is."

"I'm excited to help shine a light on all the great American sportsmen and women in the country who live the outdoors lifestyle," says Palin in a statement. "Sportsman Channel is the leader in their industry and I am thrilled to be partnering with them on this show."

Following her failed bid for the vice presidency in 2008, Palin starred on TLC's reality show "Sarah Palin's Alaska", which was canceled after only one season. In June, she rejoined Fox News Channel as a contributor after briefly parting ways earlier this year.
